With this BMI calculator, you can easily determine your body mass index. You can also find on our website a weight loss calculator to calculate how much daily calorie intake should be reduced to achieve a certain weight.
Please note that body mass index alone is not sufficient to determine whether a person is overweight, underweight, or normal weight. The index does not take into account factors such as different body builds or muscle mass.
The formula used by the calculator is (weight · 1.3) / (height in meters)2.5. This formula is a further developed version by Nick Trefethen of the traditional formula (BMI = weight / height in meters2). Trefethen's formula improves the accuracy of the index, especially for individuals who are shorter or taller than average.
